Road safety awareness programme held in Bandipora to educate students
The Education Department Bandipora organised a road safety awareness programme at the auditorium of HSS NM Bandipora, aiming to promote responsible road behaviour among students and the general public.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani, attended the event as the chief guest. Officials and speakers from various departments delivered informative sessions, emphasising the importance of road safety and the need for greater awareness, particularly among young students.
As part of the programme, students from HSS Mantrigam presented a skit highlighting key road safety practices, which was well received by the audience. The event also featured the release of awareness materials, including posters, stickers, pamphlets, and placards.
The programme saw active participation from Deputy Chief Education Officers, principals, Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs), cultural coordinators, teachers, and students from different institutions across the district.
